DGI’s mission is to provide individuals with an interest in Tibetan philosophy and culture to experience it firsthand. In addition, the monks also present at local schools, universities, interfaith activities, and other events. While the monks’ primary focus is in the Louisville area, they also offer teachings in the surrounding community and travel throughout the county for special events. Currently DGI offers the meditation sessions as well as dharma teachings (please check the latest news section for up to date information)

DGI is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All teachings given by the monks are offered free of cost to people in the community and abroad. DGI and its resident monks are supported by the kind donations of its members, visitors, volunteers, and local benefactors. All donations are tax deducible.
I have found that the greatest degree of inner tranquility comes from the development of love and compassion. The more we care for the happiness of others, the greater is our own sense of well-being.
cultivating a close, warm-hearted feeling for others automatically puts the mind at ease. It is the ultimate source of success in life.
By the merit we have gathered from all these acts of virtue done in this way, may the suffering of every being disappear.
